Subscribe to the Babywearing Videos Blog by Email Thanks to Amber at Heavenly Hold, I recently had the privilege of being able to try out the handmade in the USA Action Baby Carrier, which is one of the newest soft structured carriers on the market. Now, I am a wrap girl at heart, so carriers with buckles aren’t usually my thing. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this baby carrier. The fabric is soft right out of the package and the padding is just the right amount without being stiff or bulky.
What I really love about the Action Baby Carrier is that the body of the carrier is not padded at all so it has wonderful breath-ability. Good news for someone like me who lives in the desert! Equally as notable is the padded waistband as it distributes some of the baby’s weight to the wearer’s hips, rather than leaving it all on the shoulders. My shoulders thank you. The carrier is great for wearing in the front or back and keeps your baby in a naturally seated position which is comfortable for their hips and spine. I happily wore both my 4 month old and my 22 month old toddler in the carrier, front and back, with ease.
Heavenly Hold, a vendor for Action Baby Carrier, carries thirteen different solids and prints of the carrier, so there is sure to be one that you love. I tried out the Action Baby Carrier in Basha and really appreciated the neutral blue and green tones. Even my husband was willing to wear the carrier because the print “wasn’t too girly.”

I love the design… it looks very similar to a mei tai (which I love) but with the convenience of buckles. Also, such gorgeous prints!

The center buckle/dual adjuster hip strap would be really great, my current soft structured carrier has a side buckle and it’s really difficult to snap.
